Mothers of Modern Ireland

Today...

5th July 2008

It has been a week since we arrived here in Ireland and I can safely say that the last days have been a real eye opener. Through out the last week I have experienced so many conflicting emotions from extreme joy to a deep sense of sadness. It is impossible to summarise the last days without sounding nostalgic but there is something very humbling about being in the presence of these unique warm women. At times I find myself quietly smiling to myself because I am honoured to be in these peoples homes and for them to share their stories with us and then eventually you. The warmth and kindness that we have experienced in the last week is nothing short of overwhelming and I am having the time of my life.We have now filmed 5 women and have another busy week ahead of us and there is no shortage of high spirits.
