Wet Ones

21st April 2008

The rain has plagued us since we arrived and there has been no signs of it getting any better! Socks are wet, hair is wet, contact lenses get dislodged in the torrents and according to Shane a wet day adds an extra hour on to a long journey. Is it possibble to call this Summer time? Summers are not what they used to be and that has been undisputed by young and old on this journey and even before this journey began. Our ladies blame most of todays ills on affluence, it is quite possible that that is what has started us on such sad summers. I'll leave that to the scientists to explain and I'll talk about what I know. I know we are all tired of being wet!
